Couples should contact the rectory at least 6 months prior to the desired date of the wedding. At least one person should be a registered member of the parish.

Preparation for marriage will include: an Engaged Encounter weekend; training in NFP, (Natural Family Planning), and a series of formational meetings at the parish.  The pastor will determine how many meetings are needed.

In this chaotic age which denies the order of creation and a Creator, let us remember that Jesus Christ reorders all love through himself.  This includes the love a man and a woman (Mt 19:4-6) have for each other. Love originates in God (1Jn 4: 19).  Marriage is ordered to the three goods fidelity, indissolubility (permanence), and procreation.

A Christian marriage is a covenant entered into between one man, one woman, and God that is for life and is ordered to the three-fold good of procreation, education of children, and fostering the mutual love of spouses. This covenant when entered into by two baptized persons is called a sacrament.
