Altar Servers assist the priest celebrant at the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass.  When a server is attentive to the needs of the priest it allows the Mass to flow more smoothly.  Servers also learn responsibility, and piety, and drink more deeply of the faith as they are attending to the greatest prayer of the Church.

Any boy or girl who has made their 1st Communion may be an Altar Server. At OLG we schedule 3rd grade to 8th grade to serve at Mass.  High schoolers may continue at the request of the pastor.  If you are interested in having your child be an Altar Server, please call the Parish Office at 620-662-6443.
