Christ Renews His Parish

Parish renewal weekends set at OLG in So. Hutch
Two Christ Renews His Parish spiritual renewal weekends will be held at Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish in South Hutchinson. The women’s renewal is Oct. 27-28, and the men’s is Nov. 17-18. The weekends are free but limited to 30 participants who must be 21 or older. Those interested may visit the “Formation” tab above for more information and to complete an application. Christ Renews His Parish is designed to help individuals grow in their personal relationship with Jesus Christ and with others in their faith community. It helps Catholics to renew their understanding of the basic beliefs and traditions of their faith and is designed to bring members of  the church together in Christ.

R.C.I.A

(Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults) is the process by which non-Catholics enter the Catholic Faith. To become a Catholic, one must understand the teachings of the Church, believe in those teachings, and be a baptized Catholic. If someone is not baptized, through RCIA they will learn the tenants of the Catholic Faith and conclude their journey with the reception of the Sacrament of Baptism into the Church. If someone was baptized in a different religion, they will study the teachings of the Catholic Faith in RCIA and conclude their journey with their entrance into the Church by a priest, which may include conditional Baptism.

RCIA requires not only academic preparation but also a commitment to the Church's teachings.

RCIA classes have already begun.  Classes are located at the Our Lady of Guadalupe Madonna Hall starting at 7:00 pm to 8:30 pm.  Everyone is invited to attend.
